Roccafiore: Special Event: June 24th

Tasting with Luca Baccarelli of Roccafiore
Roccafiore is a young wine-making company, from Umbria, which will soon become an icon in the Todi area thanks to its innovative, dynamic and original style. This is due to the bold choice to produce organically and choosing a famous winemaker from Alto Adige, Hartmann DonĂ , to consult.

2008 Roccafiore Rosso Melograno (Sangiovese and Montepulciano)
2007 Roccafiore Rosso Roccafiore (100% Sangiovese; the best selection)
2007 Roccafiore Prova d’Autore (Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Montepulciano)

The small bites: sopressata, ricotta salata and grilled sausage





















The wines were fresh and pure. And we sold out of all 5 flavors. Good times.

Tuscan Feast

We special ordered some Berkshire Pork from McCall's Meat and Fish in Los Feliz. We highly recommend them: McCalls

We took some shoulder and belly. We wrapped the butterflied shoulder around the belly and tied it off. It was marinated over night with garlic, sage, thyme, crushed fennel seeds and extra virgin olive oil.




















Roasted on the grill over a bed of aromatics for 2.5 hours. Unbelievable flavor.




















Paired with some exceptional wines: 2001 Brunello and a 1998 Ornellaia.




















An excellent Sunday with good friends.
